Ocean Isle Vacations will be working with homeowners through VRBO (Vacation Rentals by Owner) and Homeaway. VRBO is owned by Homeaway and both sites do exceptionally well with marketing and in getting rentals for homeowners. Our basic desire is to take new owners and even current VRBO owners and show them how we can help do the same things your Realty companies can do for you, but at a far less expense, which means more positive cash flow to you.

The reason we started Ocean Isle Vacations is because we’ve listened. We surveyed homeowners over the past summer and asked them how they feel about their relationship with their current Realty Company was. Given a lot of owners were ‘happy’ for the most part, as they do see rentals taking place and ‘managing it’ is just one less headache they have to deal with. The biggest complaints or concerns are listed below:

• The realty company is charging such exorbitant fees on rentals, 10 to 20%
• We get ‘fee’d’ to death on every little item.
• I’d rent it myself but I don’t have time to market it and then have to worry with everything else.
• At the end of the year, it seems like so little is left as compared to what was taken in and I still have to pay taxes.

What Ocean Isle Vacations is doing is nothing new. There are many companies out in the United States that offer similar services to the homeowners, but what is key is how your property is marketed. Homeaway and VRBO are the nation’s 2 largest and heavily searched sites for private vacation rentals and working in conjunction with the largest is really the only way to go, so to speak, not to mention our own external marketing.

Ocean Isle Vacations is owned and managed by local folks. Folks who grew up here know people here and know the area. We concentrate on Ocean Isle Beach as our primary focus.
